Queensland Government Grant Announced
The latest initiative from the Queensland Government has been announced and as a small business owner, you could be a winner. The Small Business Entrepreneur Grant is now open. The program has is available to Queensland small businesses to gain professional support and advice.
What’s on offer?
Eligible small businesses can receive $5,000 (excluding GST) in matched funding when they engage an advisor or consultant for up to 3 months to assist them with their business.
The advice must fall under 1 or more of the following areas:
- mentoring / coaching
- business & strategic planning
- professional business advice
- marketing strategy development
How can Image Marketing assist?
Around this time of each year, most businesses are setting key goals for the coming financial year. Is my Small Business Eligible?
To be eligible for the Small Business Grant the business must:
- have a business name registered within the last 4 years
- have fewer than 20 employees at the time of applying for the grant
- have an Australia Business Number (ABN)
- have Queensland headquarters
- not be insolvent or have owners/directors that are an undischarged bankrupt.
What else do I need to know?
Projects are required to be more than $2,000 and must be delivered within a timeframe no longer than 3 months. Also, the grant will not cover things like advertising costs, salaries and general business running costs. To find out more information here on what the grant won’t cover.
